I have not stockpiled Scripture to pray over my kids. It’s wierd. When they were in the womb, I prayed texts for them regularly. This morning I took my daughter into my study and prayed a proverb over her: “Charm is deceitful, beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be honored.” Each time I prayed it, she smiled.
May God grant fathers wisdom to raise their daughters building their identity upon a reverent relationship with the living God. May the Triune community be their defining influence, not charmed and attracted men, no matter how godly.
