Manhood & Womanhood Resources

Our end of year quarterly Partners Brunch was so family, so deep, so encouraging. We spent an hour eating, confessing, rejoicing, and praying. I walked away wishing every church could experience this. During this time, men and women shared how they truly want to grow in manliness and femininity, in being a good husband and wife.

Growing in Manhood & Womanhood

Growing in your masculinity and femininity will require discipline, honesty, community and lots of grace. It will require you finding other men and women and asking them to help you, correct you, guide you. This kind of maturity has to have biblical, relational, and informational components. This means:

1) Up your game in Fight Clubs and City Groups in being real about your struggles and tenacious about grace.

2) Find mentors to help you but dont depend on mentors for your own maturity and obedience.

3) Read some really helpful books and articles and be sure that you apply them in community.

Truly Human: A Series on Gender, Marriage, & Family

Truly Human 08Over the next four weeks, Austin City Life will be considering what it means to be truly human in our gender, marriage, and family.

We are all broken. This really hits home when we consider our struggles with sexuality, dating, marriage, and parenting. In this series, we will attempt to show how our broken manhood and womanhood can be restored through the gospel of Christ. The great hope of the gospel is that we can recover our true humanity and become the men, women, couples, and families that God intended. When this happens, we become more of a renewing presence, strengthening the social fabric of families and the city. Four messages in the month of November:

  • Renewing Manliness
  • Renewing Femininity
  • Renewing Marriage
  • Renewing Family
